Microneedling

Targeted skin regeneration – mechanical, precise and without radiofrequency.
Controlled microchannels create a natural regeneration stimulus and support collagen, elastin and a more refined skin structure over the long term.

SYSTEMATIC SKIN RENEWAL

Skin Longevity through controlled regeneration

During microneedling, very fine needles move over the skin in a controlled way and create numerous microchannels. This targeted mechanical stimulus activates natural repair processes associated with the formation and remodelling of collagen. As a result, the skin may appear smoother, more even and more refined over the following weeks.

We combine the treatment with ExoVitae – an active-ingredient ampoule with plant-derived tangerine exosomes, PDRN (salmon DNA), biomimetic peptides and hyaluronic acid. This combines the mechanical regeneration stimulus with high-quality active-ingredient care.

SCIENCE-BACKED · NATURAL REGENERATIVE STIMULUS

Why microneedling?

Microneedling is a scientifically studied mechanical treatment: instead of changing the skin through heat or ablative procedures, it uses the skin’s natural repair response. Controlled microchannels create a precise regeneration stimulus and support collagen and elastin remodelling over the following weeks.

Natural stimulus
Supports the skin’s natural regeneration processes
Collagen remodelling
Supports structural renewal over the following weeks
Pores & texture
for a visually finer, more even complexion
Appearance of scars
May refine the look of selected atrophic scars and uneven texture
Active-ingredient support
Microchannels complement our ExoVitae regeneration concept
Skin Longevity
a long-term remodelling process rather than a short-lived effect
EXOVITAE

Regenerative active ingredients as support

At Skin Revive, we combine microneedling with ExoVitae. Tangerine exosomes, PDRN (salmon DNA), biomimetic peptides and hyaluronic acid complement the treatment with a regeneration-focused active-ingredient concept. The goal is not just a short-term glow, but continuous support of skin quality, hydration and elasticity.

When is microneedling more suitable than RF needling?

Microneedling is interesting for fine lines, uneven skin texture, visibly enlarged pores, superficial acne scarring and when a regenerative treatment without additional thermal energy is desired.

Our seasonal concept: We recommend microneedling preferably from September to May and – depending on skin condition and goal – typically at intervals of 6–8 weeks.

PRECISION · HYGIENE · CONTROL

Our microneedling system: RM Star

For our classic microneedling, we work with the RM Star. The system enables precise, controlled treatment with sterile single-use needle modules. Each needle module is used for only one treatment and then disposed of – for a consistently hygienic procedure.

The fine needles are 24K gold-plated. Controlled needle guidance allows us to adapt the treatment individually to the skin area and treatment goal.

Why microneedling fits Skin Longevity

Microneedling does not create merely a short-term surface effect, but initiates a remodelling process that develops over weeks and months. In a frequently cited histological study, after four sessions at monthly intervals six months later, up to 400% more collagen and elastin deposition was reported. This figure is a study finding and not a guarantee of an individual result.

The often-repeated claim that a single session can “make up for” a whole year of natural collagen loss cannot be supported as a reliable clinical metric. We therefore do not use this promise. What matters is the demonstrated regenerative stimulus and long-term collagen remodelling.

Microneedling or RF Needling?

Classic microneedling

Works purely mechanically. The microchannels create the regeneration stimulus without additional heat energy.

Often the better choiceMicroneedling with Exosomes combines controlled cleansing or exfoliation with treatment steps selected for your skin. The aim is a cleaner, smoother, fresher-looking complexion without unnecessary irritation.

RF Needling

Combines the needles with controlled radiofrequency energy in the skin. This adds a thermal stimulus to the mechanical impulse.

RF needling can be particularly interesting when firming, more pronounced structural changes or a more intensive remodelling stimulus are the main focus. We decide individually which method is the better fit.

FAQ · MICRONEEDLING

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is microneedling?

In classic microneedling, very fine needles create controlled microchannels in the skin. This mechanical stimulus activates the natural repair response and supports the gradual formation and remodelling of collagen. At Skin Revive, we combine this regeneration stimulus with ExoVitae.

How often do we recommend microneedling?

Our Skin Longevity concept recommends microneedling preferably from September to May . Depending on skin condition and goal, we generally plan treatments at intervals of 6–8 weeks.

What exactly is microneedling?

Microneedling works purely mechanically. RF needling additionally combines the needles with radiofrequency energy, creating a controlled thermal stimulus at depth. Microneedling is the gentler regenerative approach; RF needling is more intensive and more strongly focused on firming and deep remodelling.

When is microneedling more suitable than RF needling?

Microneedling may be the better choice when the skin is finer or more sensitive, no additional heat is desired, or texture, pores, superficial scarring and regenerative active-ingredient support are the main focus. For pronounced laxity or a stronger firming goal, RF needling may be more appropriate.

How long is the downtime?

With classic microneedling, expect approximately 1 to 3 days of visible recovery. Redness, mild swelling, warmth, dryness and fine flaking are possible. How strongly the skin reacts depends on skin type, area and treatment intensity.

What should I avoid after microneedling?

During the first 24 hours our protocol requires: no make-up, no regular skincare products and no sunscreen directly on freshly treated skin. Only a simple hyaluronic serum is permitted if recommended by us. At the same time, direct sun must be consistently avoided. From the following day, use a high SPF 50 again.

What should I avoid after microneedling?

For at least 24 hours please avoid strenuous exercise, swimming, sauna or steam baths. Please pause retinol, vitamin C, acids, peels and other active or irritating ingredients for 5 days . Do not pick at flaking or rub the skin, and keep the skin as clean and calm as possible.

Is the treatment painful?

The sensation is individual. Most people feel noticeable pricking and an intensive mechanical stimulus. Sensitive areas may feel more uncomfortable, but the treatment is short and adapted to the skin and area.

When will I see results?

A fresher glow may be noticeable early, but the actual remodelling process takes time. New collagen formation and structural changes develop over several weeks – which is why we deliberately plan microneedling at longer intervals.

When is microneedling more suitable than RF needling?

Microneedling with Exosomes is not performed on acutely inflamed, infected or injured skin. Relevant illnesses, medications, recent procedures and individual contraindications are reviewed before treatment; medical clearance may be recommended when appropriate.

Why does Skin Revive use ExoVitae?

ExoVitae combines plant-derived tangerine exosomes, PDRN (salmon DNA), biomimetic peptides and hyaluronic acid. The ampoule complements the controlled mechanical stimulus with a regeneration-focused active-ingredient concept for hydration, the skin barrier and skin structure.
